My hubby treated me to an Instant Pot and I have fallen in love with the simplicity of brown rice (22 minutes on multigrain; done!), shredded chicken breasts (12 minutes from frozen or 8 minutes from fresh) but these apples have become, hands down, my favourite recipe

two cooking apples, peeled, de-cored and diced
1-2 tsp ground cinnamon
1-2 tsp ground nutmeg
1-2 tsp maple syrup
3 tbsp water
Place all the ingredients in the Instant Pot and close the lid, making sure the value is closed.
Using the manual setting, set the timer to one minute; if you dice your apple into really small pieces, it may need less cooking time and if you use larger chunks, you may need a little more.
Let the cycle run and when done, press the cancel button to stop the cooking process.
I use quick release once they are done because I'm impatient. I portion the apples from the pot, into four jars.
Portion fix: ½ purple
